from "wow they got a touchdown and it's 7-7 - they're definitely gonna put up more of a fight than bama" to now, sheesh

Pretty sure Mendoza said "I owe you a steak" after that fumble recovery

Oregon shouldn’t have been in the playoffs.

That big O on their jersey isn't just representative of their number of National Championship Wins. It's also for OVERRATED.

Indiana recovering their own fumble just shows the football gods are watching over them

Mendoza is the chosen one, even when he fumbles after a brilliant way the ball bounces towards his teammate. The football gods smile upon him.

Indiana has the football gods on their side, it’s hopeless to fight them
7
u/wraith313 1d ago
Oregon can't even recover a fumble when they have three guys right on top of it. This is sad.
5
u/ChangKai-Shrek Iowa Hawkeyes • Indiana Bandwagon 1d ago
Even when they make a mistake they still recover!

u/justinballsonya Florida State Seminoles 1d ago
People still trying to argue Mendoza isn't a generational prospect and guaranteed to be 1st overall in the draft...
8
u/Boilerbri07 1d ago
Idk if he’s generational but definitely 1st overall. Generational gets thrown around too much

Everyone talking about Indiana stealing signs like Ohio state didn’t torch Oregon worse last year
2
u/Odd_Application_3824 Michigan Wolverines 1d ago
I'm not sure Indiana is the team they all were talking about...
1
u/jmellyy Washington Huskies 1d ago
Right now that’s what people are saying I’ve seen it 3x on twitter
4
u/Odd_Application_3824 Michigan Wolverines 1d ago
Really? That hilarious. Apparently when you start winning this is what happens
-6
12
u/Fabulous_Tip_7638 Washington Huskies 1d ago
Indiana put up 35 in the first half with only one possession in the 1st quarter lol
5
11
u/Madliberator21 1d ago
Honestly, at this point Indiana should rest their starters for the rest of the game
7
u/Fritzkreig Indiana Hoosiers 1d ago
I kinda want to claim, "Mendoza Effect", because that is what we are seeing here!🦒
21
u/tonynumber4 Alabama Crimson Tide 1d ago
All the oregon fans that laughed and memed us for getting destroyed , how does it feel?
4
u/Sad-View991 Boise State • Idaho State 1d ago
I'm watching the game on the Oregon Coast at a Bar. It's really nice seeing all the Duck fans trying to drown their sorrows. I'm having a great time loudly rooting for the Hoosiers.

I usually despise these kinds of games.
But it’s usually “Alabama, Georgia, LSU, etc destroys cute Cinderella team of the year”
It’s great seeing it happen to a program that’s usually bad and is representing my home state

Iowa had this team dead to rights multiple times too
It's just magic I tell ya
6
u/Different-Mountain58 Oregon Ducks 1d ago
Penn state wasn’t as bad as their record
3
u/hucareshokiesrul Yale Bulldogs • Virginia Tech Hokies 1d ago
They were like 15 or 20 in SP+. IIRC the only game that was particularly bad was UCLA.

u/Irish_Law_89 California Golden Bears 1d ago

Seemingly hot take - this Indiana team wouldn't be as scary with "5* guys." What makes them scary is precisely the fact that they are 3* guys who are pissed tf off. Moving forward, the real win for Cignetti is that he is going to have more options on the recruiting trail. Guys he couldn't get before will now be available. The question will be whether he wants those kinds of guys or not.

At this point, the NCAA should offer Miami the ability to bow out and bring in the New York Jets to have a competitive championship game.

Uh oh here comes the Indiana downfall after that penalty.
2nd half chaos pls

Ohio State has 9 national championships and they should legitimately think about hanging the banner for only losing to this IU team by 3

1
u/fringeguy52 Iowa Hawkeyes 1d ago
This Indiana team is better than anything bama put on the field. The only teams that would challenge them is 2019 LSU 2013 FSU and 2005 USC

I still think Mendoza should've stuck with his commitment to Yale. No, I won't be taking questions.

So if I understand quality losses correctly, Ohio State will probably have the best 2 quality losses possible... maybe enough to push them over Miami and Indiana who have less impressive /no (in the case of Indiana) quality losses. Sweet.

So we're either the team with the most losses in NCAA history or the 3rd best ACC team as the NCAA Champion.
