Mendoza is the chosen one, even when he fumbles after a brilliant way the ball bounces towards his teammate. The football gods smile upon him.

13

His OL teammate who was busting it down the field and rewarded for it.

Indiana lucky Texas not in it.

11

Honestly, at this point Indiana should rest their starters for the rest of the game

7

I kinda want to claim, "Mendoza Effect", because that is what we are seeing here!🦒

Indiana winning a natty in football is amazing timeline.

7

u/Theodolited Iowa State Cyclones 1d ago

Are they really going to hang +50 on the team that made Mo Bamba move to The Commonwealth of Virginia?!?!

8

u/2057Champs__ 1d ago

I usually despise these kinds of games.

But it’s usually “Alabama, Georgia, LSU, etc destroys cute Cinderella team of the year”

It’s great seeing it happen to a program that’s usually bad and is representing my home state

7

u/ItzzDreww 1d ago

They bout to drop 60. Smh

5

I’m honestly mystified. How the hell did this team almost lose to Penn State

3

u/elh0mbre Illinois Fighting Illini 1d ago

This team won like 63-10 against us. We’re not THAT bad.

6

u/letsgoiowa Iowa Hawkeyes • Wartburg Knights 1d ago

Iowa had this team dead to rights multiple times too

6

Penn state wasn’t as bad as their record

3

u/hucareshokiesrul Yale Bulldogs • Virginia Tech Hokies 1d ago

They were like 15 or 20 in SP+. IIRC the only game that was particularly bad was UCLA.

7

If I have to hear about Mendoza leaving Cal one more time…

1

There is truly nothing our corners can do with that

4

You look like an idiot when you're pounding your chest when your team is getting steamrolled

1

Playing for the draft at this point. Makes sense if you think of it that way

1

u/DontStepOnMyManHood 1d ago

Looked like jlo on the right.

5

u/Odd_Application_3824 Michigan Wolverines 1d ago

No wonder he won the Heisman

10

u/Krenzel4heisman Ohio State Buckeyes 1d ago

Seemingly hot take - this Indiana team wouldn't be as scary with "5* guys." What makes them scary is precisely the fact that they are 3* guys who are pissed tf off. Moving forward, the real win for Cignetti is that he is going to have more options on the recruiting trail. Guys he couldn't get before will now be available. The question will be whether he wants those kinds of guys or not.

3

u/missdopamine Oregon Ducks 1d ago

I think his magic would be diluted on a 5*

4

11

At this point, the NCAA should offer Miami the ability to bow out and bring in the New York Jets to have a competitive championship game.

2

Uh oh here comes the Indiana downfall after that penalty.

2nd half chaos pls

6

Ohio State has 9 national championships and they should legitimately think about hanging the banner for only losing to this IU team by 3

1

u/Efficient-Tennis305 Michigan Wolverines 1d ago

The greatest quality loss in history

6

u/jaron_kenji Hawai'i Rainbow Warriors 1d ago

indiana becoming the new alabama wasn't something I had on my 2026 bingo card

1

u/fringeguy52 Iowa Hawkeyes 1d ago

This Indiana team is better than anything bama put on the field. The only teams that would challenge them is 2019 LSU 2013 FSU and 2005 USC

3

u/r0llntider_ Alabama • Army 1d ago

Well they gotta have multiple seasons like this to be fair

2

u/ronwonswanson 1d ago

“Multiple” is an understatement

16

u/hucareshokiesrul Yale Bulldogs • Virginia Tech Hokies 1d ago edited 1d ago

I still think Mendoza should've stuck with his commitment to Yale. No, I won't be taking questions.

5

Are the wheels coming off? Many are asking.

7

u/MysteriousEdge5643 Washington • College Football Playoff 1d ago

8

u/PotentialChanger 1d ago

So if I understand quality losses correctly, Ohio State will probably have the best 2 quality losses possible... maybe enough to push them over Miami and Indiana who have less impressive /no (in the case of Indiana) quality losses. Sweet.
